How to apply through RTE (Right to education act)?

The Right to Education Act (RTE) is a law enacted by the Indian government in 2009, which aims to provide free and compulsory education to all children aged between 6 and 14 years. The RTE Act mandates that every child in this age group has the right to attend a nearby government school or a private school that meets certain criteria, regardless of their socio-economic background.

To fill the RTE application form, you can follow these steps:

1. Visit the official website of your state’s education department to download the RTE application form.
2. Fill in the required details in the form, such as the name of the child, date of birth, parents’ details, and contact information.
3. Attach the necessary documents, such as proof of age, residence proof, and income certificate.
4. Submit the completed application form along with the documents to the designated education office in your district.

After the verification process is completed, the education department will allocate a seat for your child in a school.

It is important to note that the application process and eligibility criteria may vary slightly from state to state. Therefore, it is advisable to check the official website of your state’s education department for detailed information and guidelines.
